MA Historic Preservation Planning

Spring 2024

About Amelia:

Amelia (she/her) is a first-year student earning her Master’s in Historic Preservation Planning at Cornell University. Amelia’s interests revolve around preservation policy and grantmaking, and some of her favorite buildings to study are historic hotels. One of her main goals is to increase public awareness and involvement in historic preservation, along with highlighting the importance that the field plays in our daily lives. Before attending Cornell, Amelia received her Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Public History from Central Connecticut State University. Amelia has worked for preservation non-profit organizations such as Partners for Sacred Places and Preservation Connecticut. She also serves on the Historic Preservation Commission in her hometown in Connecticut.

At the Christopherson Center:

Amelia hopes to support efforts in climate resilience through offering a perspective on the role of historic preservation can play.
