Zoran Naroo
Major: Urban and Regional Studies
About Zoran:
Hello! I’m Zoran, and I’m a sophomore at Cornell from outside Columbia, MD. I’m highly interested in researching and learning more about urban theory, especially regarding human development, economic geography, and related fields. From living in an exurb, I’ve come to realize the role that space and places have in shaping our perceptions of cities, suburbs and everything that falls in between.
At the Christopherson Center:
What one might consider to be the ideal living space could be hugely detrimental to another, leading to major social divides that are becoming more pronounced in the present day. I’m therefore highly interested in exploring the facets of this phenomenon in my own work, as well as through the Christopherson Center. I will be working on development of the Christopherson Center's program, Rural Regional Resilience (R3), focusing on a regional approach to flood resilience in small rural communities.
