Keeping Place / Making Place
The Chusid Symposium on Place is an annual day-long gathering that celebrates places across New York State where diverse voices engage with economic development, heritage, climate resiliency, and equity to recognize
and build place and community. The Symposium honors Jeffrey Chusid, associate professor, Cornell University, and Christopherson Center founding advisory board member, whose career has championed the preservation and transformation of meaningful places.
Hosted by the Christopherson Center, the 2025 Symposium spotlights eight sites in Central New York.
