About George
George Frantz, AICP, ASLA has some 35 years of urban and regional planning practice in the Finger Lakes region and is an associate professor of the practice in the Department of City and Regional Planning at Cornell University. His primary areas of expertise are in urban design, land-use and environmental planning, zoning and historic preservation. He is currently completing research on waterfront redevelopment in the Erie Canal National Heritage Corridor since its establishment in 2000. Frantz received his B.S. in landscape architecture and his M.R.P. in planning from Cornell in 1980 and 1991
respectively.
